Dominican capital’s subway gives free rides to Book Fair

Mountain town Constanza’s highway reconstruction advances

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Public Works Ministry continues the works to rebuild the highway which links the Central Mountain town, Constanza, at a cost of more US$1.4 billion.
The highway’s reconstruction includes the roadway’s expansion and improving some sections so heavy vehicles can use without risks.

1000 jobs at Metro

The Santo Domingo Metro will provide at least a thousand jobs according to Leonel Carrasco, the assistant manager of the Transport Reorganization Office (OPRET). Carrasco told Diario Libre reporters that the Metro will operate 17 hours a day in two work shifts.
